From the Demo: Learn to Make a Gingerbread House

Ingredients:
8oz. Shortening
1 ½ Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup sugar
1 Cup Molasses
3 Eggs
6 Cups All Purpose Flour
½ Cup Cinnamon
2Tbs. Ground Ginger
1 tsp. Ground Cloves
1 tsp. Nutmeg
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Salt
Method:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Sift all dry ingredients together and set aside.
Use an electric mixer with the paddle attachment. Cream sugars with shortening on medium speed until light in color. Add eggs 1 at a time, scraping down the bowl between each egg. Add 4 cups of the dry ingredients and mix on low speed while adding the molasses. Mix until combined then add remaining dry ingredients and mix until combined.
If the dough is a little too wet add more flour a 1/4cup at a time. If the dough is to dry add a few Tbs. of water.
Wrap dough and refrigerate for at least one hour.
